 I have been going through about 4 file cabinets at my house in an attempt to throw away and clear out old stuff. In the process I found an old newspaper article given to me by my mother in 1972 about a lady who wanted to change her life so she made a "wheel of fortune" board with pictures of everything she wanted to have in her life.
This wheel of fortune included a couple holding hands, $5000, a new car, a new organ, etc. Within a year she won $10,000 from a corporation contest, met a man and married him. She received an organ from her new husband as a gift and she bought a new car.
The last paragraph stated her belief in what had happened to her: "If you just open your heart and believe in good things," Doris explains, they're bound to happen. You just train your mind to believe and to hope. I think it's nothing in the world but practical Christianity. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."

| March 1st, Special Guest Rev. Ellen Debenport
Rev. Ellen Debenport is a Unity minister who writes and speaks about the power of the human spirit. Her first book, The Five Principles, is to be published by Unity House this spring, and she hosts a radio show called "Absolute Living" on Unity.FM, airing live every Monday at 1 pm. Ellen also serves on the board of directors at Unity Village, overseeing prayer, publications, and education for the movement. She was senior minister at Unity Church of Dallas until the end of 2007 and, starting April 1, will be serving as temporary minister at Unity of Wimberley in the Texas Hill Country.

Artist's Way - Each Sunday at 9:30a

Unity Church of New Hope has a very active Artist's Way Cluster. The group is studying The Artist's Way-A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity by Julia Cameron. They have been meeting since November and are reporting some exciting breakthroughs.
Facilitator Lisa Reed said, "Pick up your book at the church bookstore and join us! The group is a fun and welcoming bunch. Visioning Class - Wednesday at 7:30p

The class is currently working on putting their goals in writing to correlate with the images in their books.
Visioning is all about dreaming, fantasizing, clarifying and energizing your life. You decide what it is you want in your life and then begin to envision those things. By collecting and organizing images of items or important words you can surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have, where you want to live, or where you want to vacation, your life changes to match those images and those desires. Between Ellen's commitment to the system of Visioning and Lane's commitment to goal setting there are many lessons to be learned in any one night of Visioning class.
This class is supported by love offerings.

If you have decided to get healthier and slim down this year, visit the bookstore and pick up a copy of Slim Down Now. This "Therapy on a CD" is available now to help you reprogram your beliefs about your ability to be thinner and healthier.
