Update: Unity of New Hope, October 2nd

NOTE FROM ELLEN

I have had a lot on my mind recently concerning all kinds of repairs.   Within the last 2 weeks I have had my air conditioner repaired for20$500 (caused by a raccoon chewing on electrical wiring).    Fixing my raccoon and squirrel problems cost  $400.  My plumbing problem cost $750 and then my car repairs totaled $100. The problems with the economy have not been particularly uplifting either.
So this morning as I was thinking about all of my situations and problems, I began walking and appreciating the beauty of the day.  For the first time I had to put on long sleeves as it was cool.  When I arrived back home I went to the back yard to turn off the sprinkler when I noticed something white sitting in one corner of the yard.  When I got closer to investigate, I discovered a large beautiful white bunny.  My next door neighbor has a huge enclosure in her backyard and is part of a group that saves bunnies.  She has lots of large bunnies so I knew that somehow this bunny had "escaped" from her backyard.  I left her a note about the bunny and then went back to take a photo.  (see below)

Seeing this bunny uplifted my spirits.  It was a totally unexpected happening that was like a gift from the universe.  My problems began to take a back seat to the beauty of the bunny and how it appeared in my backyard.   I think that sometimes we become so absorbed in our problems that we miss the enjoyment of the beauty that is all around us.
All of us have a choice on how to enjoy life.  Recently in a time of reflection, I thought about some things that were upsetting me about an individual.  Immediately a thought came to me to write down something good about the person each time their name came to mind.  I began to have quite a list and then I noticed a "switch" in my attitude.   I noticed that I was having less negative feelings about the person.  The things that were disturbing began to see m less important.     This also works for me for situations in which I am fearful or when I am critical about myself.   Instead of focusing on what is going wrong, I focus on what is going right.
We live in an incredible world full of unique people, animals, places, etc.  There is no time like the present to begin enjoying the journey.    Mary Sullivan has been enjoying the journey for 100 years.  Join us this Sunday as we celebrate her birthday.

     See you soon!!!!

VISIONING CLASS
(each Wednesday 7:30 PM)
Ellen Davis and Lane Pierce Facilitators
The Wednesday night visioning class has decided to begin planning for the second half of 2008.  The class is currently working on putting their goals in writing to correlate with the images in their books.
Visioning is all about dreaming, fantasizing, clarifying and=2 0energizing your life.  You decide what it is you want in your life and then begin to envision those things. By collecting and organizing images of items or important words you can surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have, where you want to live, or where you want to vacation, your life changes to match those images and those desires.  Between Ellen's commitment to the system of Visioning and Lane's commitment to goal setting there are many lessons to be learned in any one night of Visioning class.
This class is supported by love offerings.
A Vision Book is really an inventory of your desires - come stock your shelves.
